Robert Halderman (aka Joe Halderman) has been identified as the man responsible for blackmailing, or attempting to blackmail, David Letterman, host of CBS’s Tonight Show. It turns out Halderman wanted to blackmail the tonight show host for $2 million dollars, but was beat to the punch when David Letterman announced his improprieties during his monlogue last night on his show. Halderman was a producer for CBS’s 48 Hours show and presumably had evidence of Letterman’s dealings with younger women, specifically having sex with younger women who also worked for CBS. Below is the announcement from Letterman, which, unless you hear it form him, it seems surreal.
