Google Is Dog-Friendly

Googleis a super dog-friendly company. It proudly names “company dogs,” like Yoshka (described as a “free-range Leonberger”)
pictured above. Yoshka accompanies Urs Holzle, senior VP operations and Google Fellow to the Googleplex. Less senior staff are also allowed to
bring their dogs to the office.

According to Google’s “Dog Policy”, one indiscretion too many on the Google carpets, or aggressive
behavior, means Lassie will have to stay at home in the future. Strong bladdered and friendly canines are more than welcome across the campus. Unfortunately, cats are not quite as welcome. Here’s an excerpt taken directly from Google’s Code of Conduct: “Google’s affection for
our canine friends is an integral facet of our corporate culture. We like cats, but we’re a dog company, so as a general rule we feel cats
visiting our offices would be fairly stressed out.” – This is one point in a post that includes nine other fun facts about Google.

The Drive is a pretty cool trip anyway, but with the stop motion it’s incredible. The blue lights that illuminate the street get me every time I see them i think of growing up right there. I grew up right off LSD and Marine Drive and have some fond memories of growing up where it seems like, was right there. Anyway, the stop motion is amazing and had to post it, so here goes:

Kathy Griffin F Bomb Video CNN New Years Coverage

Someone needs to look in to who is making these bombs but apparently Kathy Griffin dropped one today on accident at their annual live New Years show.  Without further ado, here is the F-bomb video during the New Year’s Special.  Andersen handles it well but you can tell he is well, lets just say, frustrated and just sheer emotion on the inside wanting to tell her…”Hey you stupid broad, shut the hell up with the f bombs or ill bitch slap you to tomorrow ya fucking whore!”

Kathy Griffin needs to learn how to conduct herself in certain environments, yea its funny, but something even funnier would of been original, not just saying something because someone says you can’t, no that is way too easy…concoct a joke you lesbian tea bagger, and I am all for the 1st Amendment so don’t think i am just saying this because I can’t handle the kids I don’t have there Mcbitch (I had to add McBitch to the dictionary BTW).

50 Jobs in 50 States

If you haven’t been following this story, here is a quick recap of where we stand as of today, Sunday September 20th.  A University of Southern California (USC) Graduate, Daniel Seddiqui, is attempting to work 50 jobs in 50 states.  You might think this is not the best timing for something like this, not to mention that he has to do this in..guess how many weeks?  Yep, 50 weeks to get 50 jobs in 50 different states.

Currently Daniel is moving in to week 50 and contemplating what job he should take in California, his home state.  According to a poll on his site (you can follow his progress via Facebook and/or Twitter also @DanielSeddiqui), 42% think he should find something in a winery and another 33% say TV/Film industry job would be the way to go.   He has also learned manufacturing in Minnesota, Drove Tractors in South Dakota and made maps as a cartographer somewhere else.

This all came about when he had a hard time finding a job in his local area with his Economics background, now he has 49 new jobs in 49 different areas to put on his resume, LOL.  I’m guessing he will be able to find something much better when this is all over with, which will be very soon.

The introduction on his site explains,

“I’m Daniel Seddiqui and I’ve traveled all 50 states. I’ve worked 49 different careers in 49 weeks. One week to go. Sound crazy? My mission is to explore the diverse careers, environments, and cultures offered in America. Take a look, you may find the perfect job.”

Below is a video of an interview with Daniel on FoxNews about 7 months ago before embarking on his trek, and if it makes any difference I would vote for trying to get a job at a winery in the state of CA. for his final gig, but the TV/Film industry job might be better if he befriends someone who might want to parlay this in to something bigger.  Congrats Daniel!

Nicole Richie and baby Sparrow Midnight

Nicole Richie made the list just after having their most recent son Sparrow James Midnight Madden less than a year after daughter Harlow.  Kudos to the others on the list, Michelle Obama, Kate Winslet and Kim Kardashian (Wow), but you have to give Nicole a bit of extra credit considering the timing.

Nicole stated to US, she has, “Made adjustments to her style after giving birth.  Not all my clothes fit the same.  I don’t even think it’s a weight thing; I think your body just changes after you have a baby”, she says.  She also said that, “I (Richie) don’t care either way”.
